Really it's a waste of time even arguing about whether or not Fox news is biased.
http://elections.foxnews.com/2008/10...e-endorsement/
That link is about Colin Powell getting up on stage and dancing with 2 rap stars (Nigerian I think :fear: ) at a festival in London, celebrating African-American music and fashion.
Fox News thinks Powell dancing is a clear indicator that he will soon announce his endorsement for Obama.
Yes, They really believe that.
On the other hand it's true, a majority of other news stations and reporters are obviously biased- Anderson Cooper is an obvious liberal and supporter of the left.

There are a number of Americans, Democrat and Republican, young and old, black and white, who are shouting for change. Whether they support Obama, McCain or Nader- they realize our country is in some deep shit and this next election, these next four years are pivotal in deciding our country's future and positive presence around the world. It's a shame things have gotten this bad, but I'm glad so many are finally getting interested and involved in the process. My father in law was telling me over Thanksgiving about this amazing bartender at some bar he frequented who could shake a martini and fill it to the rim with no leftovers and he thought it was the coolest thing he'd ever seen. I then proceeded to his home bar and made four martinis in one shaker with unfamiliar glassware and a non standard shaker and did the same thing. From that moment forward I knew he had no compunction about my cock ever being in his daughter's mouth.

you know what is hilarious, is that I just found out Powell is endorsing Obama. I think it broke news about 2 hours ago.

http://www.iht.com/articles/2008/10/...a/19powell.php
"He has both style and substance," Powell said in an appearance on NBC. "Obama has displayed a steadiness; showed intellectual vigor. He has a definitive way of doing business that will do us well."
The endorsement by Powell - one of the most respected of American elder statesmen, who was also a national security adviser and chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff - came on an extraordinary weekend for the Democratic candidate: He announced an astounding record of $150 million raised last month, with more than 600,000 new donors, far exceeding in one month the $84 million available for the entire campaign to Senator John McCain, who unlike Obama, has accepted public funding.
http://www.cnn.com/2008/POLITICS/10/19/colin.powell/
Powell said he was concerned about what he characterized as a recent negative turn of Republican candidate Sen. John McCain's campaign, such as the campaign's attempts to tie Obama to former 1960s radical Bill Ayers.
"I think that's inappropriate. I understand what politics is about -- I know how you can go after one another, and that's good. But I think this goes too far, and I think it has made the McCain campaign look a little narrow. It's not what the American people are looking for," he said.
Powell, a retired U.S. general and a Republican, was once seen as a possible presidential candidate himself.
Powell said he has some concerns about the direction of the Republican Party, adding that it has "moved more to the right than I would like to see it."
In regard to the financial crisis, which Powell called the candidates' "final exam," Powell said McCain appeared unsteady in dealing with it, while Obama had excelled in handling the situation.

Powell, who for many years was considered the most likely candidate to become the first African-American president, said in an interview on NBC’s “Meet the Press” that he was not supporting Obama because of his race. He said he had watched both Obama and his Republican opponent, Sen. John McCain of Arizona, for many months and thought “either one of them would be a good president.”
But he said McCain’s choices in the last few weeks — especially his selection of Gov. Sarah Palin of Alaska as his vice presidential running mate — had raised questions in his mind about McCain’s judgment. My father in law was telling me over Thanksgiving about this amazing bartender at some bar he frequented who could shake a martini and fill it to the rim with no leftovers and he thought it was the coolest thing he'd ever seen. A friend of mine went to the US past summer to help out the Obama campaign, in I think Virginia, but not sure right now. He was there in one of those election offices calling people to ask if they were registered and stuff. And did all kind of things for the Obama campaign.Maybe God was the first suicide bomber and the Big Bang was his moment of Glory.

The fact is that FoxNews has a right wing bias in everything they do, they also don't separate themselves from the story. It's evident in their story writing and the way their anchors approach stories. I'm not saying CNN, or MSNBC is perfect by any stretch of the imagination but you're not going to get any professional that studies media to say that what FoxNews does currently is an acceptable form of Journalism.it makes me sick when i think of it, all my heroes could not live with it so i hope you rest in peace cause with us you never did

There's an opinion section as well as editorial pieces on CNN, as well as some news I don't consider news. Such as 'Can the bible help you budget', there's definitely fluff on CNN's website but there's a lot more fluff on Fox's website. The mere fact that Fox calls Bill O'Reilly a Broadcast Journalist degrades the profession.Last edited by Cops; 10-19-2008, 07:12 PM.it makes me sick when i think of it, all my heroes could not live with it so i hope you rest in peace cause with us you never did

I take CNN more seriously than I do fox, that's for sure.
CNN earned their stripes during the first gulf war, they've lost their way at times but all in all they do a much better job at separating themselves from the story. To be honest, I'm not that impressed with any of America's media, except for PBS who I thought did a great job covering the presidential debates and picking people who would be fair in judging the winner of the debate.
I can't watch post debates on CNN or Fox, they have the same formula of putting an extreme liberal on the stage and an extreme conservative who say the exact same thing, they just differ in the views of the winner. I want to hear a left wing guy say the left wing fucked up when they fuck up, and I want to hear the right wing guy say the right wing fucked up if they fuck up.Last edited by Cops; 10-19-2008, 07:52 PM.it makes me sick when i think of it, all my heroes could not live with it so i hope you rest in peace cause with us you never did
