hahahaha i didn't see that earlier

i guess i, too, made a stupid assumption - thinking metalheadz was a moron. he is a moron and a nerd. the two in unison seldom generate anything of value, intellectually or genetically.

That was an interesting story, I'm surprised it's the only situation of the sort that you've dealt with. When I worked 4pm-4am at Subway downtown - ALL the drunks and crazys came there to eat after the bars closed. I've had death threats, creepy loonys try to follow me home, had a black dude make me aware of the fact that he's strapped. You'd never imagine so much BS at a Subway. We had a deal with the cops - they get 50% off and if they drive by - they do it all slow like. That way we can wave them in if there's a problem.

I think maybe the fact that you work at a skate shop (or was it coffee shop, read it fast?) had something to do with cops not coming. After all, you did get your backup right? I'm willing to bet the cops knew that you'd be alright, or maybe they are just pricks who knows. I just know that I've been in some close calls working late at that Subway, and have had some chill cops potentially save my life. Plus, they never cared that me and Teav were fucking blitzed constantly. ^-^

it probably had something to do with you downplaying the situation on the phone. let that be a lesson to you: if you want to be taken seriously, make a fuss and make the situation appear to be worse than it is. But you probably had no idea how it was going to escalate, so no real fault there. but you'll know next time.

Worked for a city pool, and when it thunders/lightening you kick all the people out. It costs $1.00 for kids, and $2.00 for adults. Two intoxicated women (probably 35-50) brought a van load of kids to the pool, about 30 mins before we kicked everyone out. They asked for refunds, to which we replied that we don't give refunds, and that we'd give a rain-check to anyone who hadn't been swimming yet.

A bit drunk, they get pissed and start demanding we refund them or else (even though they were in clothes, and didn't pay for themselves, just the 5 or so kids who had been swimming). And idiot lifeguard who worked for me started talking shit to them and slamed the window shut on them (it's a garage-type metal window for a fenced in window like a teller). They then get all the people waiting for rides (about 10 or so with their kids) to start pounding on the windows and doors. A few kids try to jump the 10 ft fence in the back.

So I tell our clerk to call 9-1-1 and tell them that a small riot is forming outside the city pool. Within 2-3 minutes, we hear several police cars racing our way with sirens blaring. By the time they pull up to the pool, ALL of the kids are running into the surrounding park and the parents are like "Thank god you showed up". Little did they know we called teh cops on them (dumbasses).

We didn't really want the cops to arrest anybody, like I imagine you didn't want that homeless dude locked up for vagrancy. But it had the effect we wanted - it immediately cleared the scene and brought back-up. The cops were happy to help, and didn't seem to mind that we called 9-1-1 and reported a riot when some angry customers started getting unruly.
