  • Mega Man 9

Anyone get it yet? I just read a review for it and from what I've seen, Capcom went old school for this. And when I say old school, I don't just mean that they used 8-bit quality sprites, they also did stuff like add graphical glitches like sprite flickering (optional). Gameplay is patterned after Mega Man 2.

According to Wikipedia, Capcom sent CD press kits to the media in NES cartridges. And check out the official retro "box art" on the press kit: http://www.joystiq.com/media/2008/09...kits_front.jpg

I'm all for catering to nostalgia, but did they really have to have box art that doesn't resemble the characters just to remind people of the first game's? And is it really coming out for the NES like that picture wants us to think?
      The pleasure's all mine.

Did you not see the phrase "press kit" in my post? I made sure to say it twice to avoid such confusion.

Wonder what the difficulty will be like. I passed Mega Man 2, but Mega Man 1 is probably the only NES game I was never able to beat (although Bionic Commando nearly made me toss my console out the window).

According to Gametrailers, its hard. Just the meer fact that we have the disappearing blocks itself makes the game doubly hard! Yea I hate them in MM1 =[

The robot in the picture that Jord posted comes out of nowhere and lifts you up and slams you against spikes (instant KO)

Well, since all three systems it's on have wireless controllers, you'll only have to worry about tossing them instead of the much more expensive console.
