Do you think it will surpass either batman or iron man?

My guess would be it surpassing iron man. Seeing as batmans gonna get released in a few months in time for oscars.

The Dark Knight is not only the best comic book movie I've ever seen, it's overall one of the best movies I've ever seen. I think Watchmen will be good but I don't think it's going to be better than Dark Knight. I liked Iron Man, but it wasn't that amazing. If Watchmen does better than Iron Man then I'll be happy.

so I started reading Watchmen today.

I'm 5 chapters in. The police just caught Rorschach and Dr. Manhattan just built his palace thingy on Mars.

Awesome so far.

I heard from an unreliable source that Watchmen might not even see the light of day. Apparently Fox owns the rights to Watchmen, however Warner Bros. produced the film. If this is true, I'm sure there could be an agreement between the two companies, yes? I'd definitely like to see the movie.

I haven't done research on this unreliable source's claims yet, so I could be completely and utterly wrong, because he also mentioned something about a secret Star Wars Christmas Special movie that never "made the light of day." He said I can go on Youtube and look at small glimpses of it, but I'm too lazy and just don't give a hoot.

Yes, FOX owns the rights of Watchmen and they are stopping Warner Bros. from distributing. Most likely, WB will just pay FOX off and we'll get a longer release date.

Just wanted to say I finished the graphic novel over the weekend. Easily one of the best pieces of literature I've had the privilege of reading. The characters were awesome (I love how their names corresponded to their world views) and the ending was so devastatingly great that I decided I had to read it again.

And I'm once again about 5 chapters in.

My favorite thing was Veidt's plan. He's the smartest man in the world and he proved it. Didn't like Rorschach's ending point however. Had a cool open-ending too.

Since it's your second go at it, try looking for the smiley faces scattered throughout the book. It's a bit surprising to see how many of them there are.

And about the ending, I'm normally a bit keen on endings and I usually do a good job of figuring out things, but this is probably the only novel where I had absolutely no clue of what was going to happen in the end. Will be very interesting how Snyder will incorporate this into the movie. I'm sure the average movie goer will probably be put-off by it after seeing it in theaters. Let's just say that it's not a very good Hollywood ending for those of you who have yet to read it.
