that's the thing- my room mates 360 and my other friend's 360 have both red-ringed numerous times, yet still continue to work. I haven't personally seen yet; a 360 that red-rings and never works again.

I've had the red ring hit 3 of my Xbox's. Each time I sent them in free of charge and MS sent me back one that worked (at least for a while) within a week, completely free of charge. The one I have now has worked without problems for the last year and a half.

Cashing in the voucher over Xbox Live will grant you a free download of five classic (and visually enhanced) multiplayer maps from the original Gears of War: Canals, Gridlock, Mansion, Subway, and Train Tyro Station. Shit hits the fan at about wave 10. More and more of the Horde come from all directions on the map, overwhelming whatever system you’ve managed to set up. We made it all the way to wave 15 by sticking together, but after that, someone decided going every man (or woman) for themselves was a good idea and we all died like dogs.

I have no idea how anyone is going survive all 50 waves of Horde mode – even after I switched out with a more hardcore shooter journo, the group never made it to wave 20 in the hour we had to play.

I see our problem, as having way to much fun for the months of November and December. I actually think that we're going to have so much co-op playtime, that we're probably going to destroy not only our xboxes, but also the fabric of the universe. Get prepared, say goodbye to your loved ones.

And for those not in the know, Call of Duty:World At War was made by the same people who brought us CoD4, and it has 4-player co-op. Left 4 Dead was made by the people who brought us Half-Life 2 and Portal, and has 4-player co-op. Lastly, Gears of War 2 was brought to us by the people that made Gears of War, and the Unreal Tournament series. It has 2-player co-op, and a 5-player multiplayer mode that sends waves of increasingly difficult enemies at the team of 5.

3 games in one month that have fantastic co-op. We are doomed.

Just a shame both of the X-Boxes in my house got RRoD'd. Same thing happened to two of my friends all in the same week. Microsoft prolly installed some kind of simultaneous 360 doom device. Conspiracy, I say.
