New Call of Duty 4 Mod "World at War"

Yeah, I tried out this demo off of Fileplanet for this mod to Call of Duty 4 called "World at War". I dunno who did it, but for an amateur effort, it's quite well done. I was curious how they were gonna change the flashbangs and the usage of the flares are quite brilliant. Also with the replacing the helicopter to a pack of dogs was a cool touch too.

Wait ... nvm, I just saw an ad for it on TV. You mean they really have the balls to repackage Call of Duty 4, with M1 Garands and re-sell it for $60?

Fuck off Treyarch, make your own game.

Call of Duty 5 came out yesterday though

why would you buy a $60 dollar mod when the brand new game, made by the same people who did Call of Duty 4, just came out.

Btw I put in CoD4 yesterday just for shits and giggles, and it's still amazes me how good that game is.

1.) What I originally thought was a mod for COD4 is actually this "COD5"
2.) It's created by Treyarch, not Infinity Ward. Not the same team.
3.) It is, in practice, a $60 WW2 Mod of COD4.

hmm after looking at gamefaqs it says Treyarch also did CoD3...I don't think I played that one, was it good?

Infinity War did Call of Duty 2 (which was good) and it looks like they're doing Call of Duty 6 also..which is coming out in 2009 (surprise surprise)

I guess they give every other CoD to one of the two companies to pump them out faster? I'm not sure.

I'm perfectly fine with that, simply because of 4-player co-op. How long have we been waiting for that for a ww2 shooter?

the 2 teams take turns in creating games...
triyearch or whatever made the first one, infinite made second, tri made third, infinite made 4, and tri made fifth...

6 will be released by infinity and 7 by tri again...
but you can easily say goodbye to World War games, call of duty wont make the same mistake of creating another setting in the past, i guarantee that...

but my girl bought me cod5...
i played it and didnt get the same appeal as cod4, but its still not a bad game. miltiplayer shines in its own way i think, but it isnt cod4...

i was used to holding a modern gun, not a broom that u reload after every fuckin shot
