What are some of your experiences good/bad? What do you think of the new feedback system (sellers cant leave negative feedback) Do you often use ebay? Who are some of your favorite sellers and what do they sell.

Ive had an overall good experience with ebay, and think the new feedback system is great. I dont go too often i think i have maybe 100 feedback in 4 years. Some of my favorite places to buy stuff are from:

http://stores.ebay.com/Two-Crafty-Mules - sells altered art, christian stuff (generally get my grandma/mom gifts from here)

http://stores.ebay.com/SULTAN-OF-SPORTS - sells a shit load of sports stuff. hats/jerseys ect

most of the games i buy i get from ebays sister site, www.half.com

One of the worst sellers ive dealt with thou is this seller from tenessee, he has a shit load of ebay names and has a site shit talking him lol. www.feebay.org

I like ebay and use half.com for most of my textbooks. I used half to buy my calc textbook this quarter and never got the book. Stupid scammers I ended up getting my money back for it, but it took over two months to get refunded.

I don't really have favorite sellers on ebay though. I just search for what I need when I need it.

I often use ebay to buy contact lenses, phone- and computer accessoires in Germany and sometimes the UK, everything is so cheap there compared to normal retail outlets over here. Never had a problem with something I bought, the rating system as it is works pretty good imho.

Oh and I think the "bidding" thing is totally crap, I only buy products with a "buy now" button.

i've only made a pair of purchases from ebay in my life, both last spring:

        Paper Mario for N64

and a pair of professional table tennis shoes from hong kong.

two of the best deals i've ever gotten.

I love eBay. Never had a bad experience yet using it. Just always make sure your dealing with asomeone with a good track record if your a buyer.

I am at 698 sales with 100% Positive feedback.

I am always a bit skeptical of the sellers that have 10 or less feedbacks or they have under a 70% positive rating.

Holiday shopping has been completed this year all on eBay and Amazon for me and I didn't have to deal with traffic and the asswipes at a mall.

Your smart enough to have a feeling if someone is a ripp-off on these sites.
May your shit come to life and kiss you on the face.

if you know how to use it, ebay is awesome.
I find lots of vintage star wars figures and antique chef knives.

I shop ebay for used car parts a lot. My Dad and I are avid corvette enthusiasts. In fact, I just bought him 2 brand new 1976 corvette bucket seats on ebay for christmas. I also sometimes use it for movie bundles. Its rare, but possible to find good movie deals on there (like 30 movies for $30, and not all shitty movies)

Sold my Asherons Call and WoW accounts on Ebay along with other nerd collectibles for a few thousand. In general I've had good experiences, but it's still susceptible to some problems of the basic barter or auction system.

The biggest issue I have with Ebay these days are power sellers and people who try to trick you with complicated or hidden shipping charges. As an example, all Canadian know that we pay 30-40% more for books than Americans even when our currencies were on par. So I tried to buy a bunch of paperbacks on Ebay only to find that 99% of listings were from power sellers who charged $6 shipping per book regardless of how many you bought.

                              Ebay.

I've been using eBay on and off since around '99.

I bought this sick nasty Yzerman 19 Jersey for around $95 in late '99.

I bought a Team Finland Teemu Selanne Jersey sometime in 2002.

Then i bought some $50 rare hockey deck, which I regret like AIDS.

Bought a random tshirt last spring

Chelsea Drogba soccer jersey in 2006.

3 new shafts for my lax stick. I'm absolutely in love w/people cannot price that stuff correctly.
They just say "Lacrosse/Hockey gloves" in the title, I take a closer look at the picture and I will see it is like 5x the price of what they are offering. I bought some gloves worth around $130 for 45.99+5.99 shipping.

I tried buying this chessboard which looked decently priced, but when i went to buy it they had altered shipping somehow to around 10x what I saw.

You can get some great deals on there if you know what your doing. But people expect too much from it. They expect like nearly-free/ dirt cheap prices, it's not like that.
