Man dragged under van nearly 20 miles

I saw this on the local news and had to find an article. I can't believe it, how the hell do you drag a body for 20 miles while driving and not notice it?

People even flagged him down to stop him, but when he got out he "didn't see any bodies" and kept on driving. He said oncoming traffic was swerving out of his way but he "thought they were avoiding potholes"
