As an asian kid, I played the violin for the obligatory 10 years, and had a Haide violin for about five. I don't play anymore, but heres something that looks like what I have:



Runs for about 2k-4k, depending on the quality. My bow was bought for roughly 200is and needs to be re-haired.

History of old musical instruments is always interesting. My violin was apparently made in late 1700's (don't have my violin with me atm) by a guy who mislabeled it in order to make it look like he had a familial predecessor. I forgot how much it cost because I did a lot of trading in / upgrading. I think it's around $4k. When I made my last upgrade in high school I tried at least 6 different violins for a week each and it was such a great experience. I almost got this very unusual violin that had very rounded details and had a unique deep sound to it, but was told the resale value would be iffy compared to a traditional violin.
