the study doesn't directly invalidate keynes per se, but what i see is yet another reason why Keynesianism fails - it's the classic 'calculation' problem.

quite simply: we can never know when we are in a 'good' economy or a 'bad' economy. we can check them relatively - i.e., "last year was better than this year" - but that doesn't tell you whether or not the economy from year to year was truly objectively good or bad.

it's the same problem of economic calculation that destroys socialist economies. this report basically turns everything we thought about the economy on its head - and with it, the corrective policies that were attempted.

i was clinically diagnosed, but 1) autism can sometimes 'go away' during adolescence and 2) more normal behavior can be 'learned'.

i'm guessing what happened is somewhere in between those two points. like, one day i just woke up and... i dunno, i can go to bars now. meet people. hang out. make small talk. it's pretty much why i am not on the forums anymore
