  • Marvel Vs Capcom 2

With Capcom recently announcing the HD remix of this game for PSN and XBL, would any of you play it? (or do any of you play it still?) I've been into this game for quite a while and I'm glad to see it get re-released.

Sorry to burst your bubble, but this is going to be a Dreamcast port with triple buffering to make the screen more crisp. It's HD Supported, though.

Don't be going into this with SF2 HD Remix on the mind.

            Oh. Yeah, fuck it then.

EDIT: I used to be so into this game though. Like numerous quarters spent at arcades perfecting the craft. I wouldn't want to play online though, infinite abusers are annoying.

How does triple buffering make it more crisp?

Ahh this is the correct nerd terminology I was looking for:

You'll be given the option of playing the game in three graphics modes: Classic, Smooth & Crisp. Classic is as you'd expect, the original Dreamcast pixels. Smooth throws in 2x bilinear filtering, while crisp goes one better and goes for 3x bilinear filtering.

Just like triple frying chicken makes it more crisp and juicy, so does triple buffering for graphics as soon in the post above.

Thanks for showing the illustration. Personally, I love the effect! I'm sure you and many others have messed around with it on emulators. Shame about the game itself though, come on - shouldn't we all be playing Streetfighter 4 instead?

Anyway, the reason I asked initially was because you called it 'buffering', which confused me - because buffer/filter aren't interchangeable words.</pedant>
