Your first language is relevant because? English is my third language, and it's a damn sight better than yours. FAIL!
Pretended innocence? I think what you meant to say was Actual Retardness, you are quite possibly the most retarded looking asian "chick" I've ever seen, and I've seen retarded Chinese people. :P
P.S. You also seem to fail at being a wino, is it safe to conclude that you just plain suck?
(hmm, am I being too harsh?)
Displaced> I get pussy every day
Displaced> I'm rich

I try to hold off on holding anyone accountable for their language skills since I'm pretty good at English and horrible at everything else (only somewhat horrible at Spanish though). But all that said, I commend you Disp (and Da1, Gall, Mantra, etc.) for communicating so well. As for TelCat, it's a damn good thing she went into computers.
Be more specific, can we eliminate some of those useless professions (e.g. the cumbersome structure of government) and automate some others (finance, accounting, law etc), and maybe we could produce more useful things for everyone?
I will write more tomorrow.
I think you should just listen to Jerome on this one. If occupations were truly useless, they would not exist. If someone, ANYONE found a use for them, they would exist, because they'd pay someone else to do it. I think that's pretty much it.
I'll expand on Jerome's anti-government bias and say that even 'useless government jobs' are useful in some respect because there's SOMEONE out there who thought it would be a good idea to create those jobs. Eventually if those jobs are truly useless, they will disappear. I doubt even 'The Government' directly employs people for completely useless jobs (oh I dunno, like serial killing, poking holes in bubble wrap for the explicit purpose of poking holes in bubble wrap, eating celery for the express purpose of creating fertilizer, etc).
Will stuff get more efficient? Of course! Everything does over time, as we learn how to do things better. Only the market and society will decide what is useful and what is not. We can try and predict, but we'll be wrong most of the time, it'll just happen gradually.
P.S. English also my 2nd language, and no accent here
