Also, the new Yankee Stadium (in NY) is pretty nice like Blocks said. If you can't catch a game there you should at least visit Coney Island here in Brooklyn for good-ol times. The original Nathan's is here and it's summer so there's a lot of fun people here.

While you're in DC you can visit the Washington Monument, it's quite the sight. It's about a 15 minute walk from the White House and you can see a lot of DC from up on that hill. Great for picture capturing (but there's a lot of bugs so beware).

Also if you decide to tour around in DC for a while be aware that it can be very tiring. Everything is very spacious so it looks like you can walk from place to place, but in reality it's really far apart.

To walk from where this picture is being taken to the actual monument takes about a half hour. Then, to walk all the way to the capital building (behind the monument) from this position it would probably take 1hr+. Bring water and extra money for cab just in case. (unless ofcourse you're driving)

Check out the Shoe Shop while in Halifax. It's a downtown restaurant and bar. Nice decor... awesome cocktails. Try the lychee martini.... or just have whatever the staff recommend.

Theres a place in Patterson a couple blocks off union blvd.called The Colonial Grill. if its still there the "all the way" burgers and dogs rock.

Closest thing to that in Los Angeles would be a place in Santa Monica called "The Shack" 2518 Wilshire Blvd- Philly transplants opened and operating this Bar.

Philly Cheesesteaks that are overrated and generally not what I would call the best but get attention are: Pat's Steaks, Geno's & Jim's Steaks. Personally I know of so many better places and better steaks.

If you stop in Philly, depending on when, there could be some cool stuff happening from music fest's, Phillies's game...June 16, 17 & 18th the Toronto Blue Jays will be in town to play Philly.

Some really good dive bars with great music playing...from Jazz to Blues to whatever.

We are planning to catch a game in a city where tickets are more accessible and cheaper. aka Baltimore? We should spend a bit of time in Boston anyways.

Sounds like a plan. There is a Morton's in Vancouver and we are looking to spend more than less so we won't do that. I don't think we're going to go clubbing that much. Also, BC bud is the best so no need to buy anywhere else.

Did it. It was good to see. I bought my girlfriend shoes for $7. We would have bought more stuff if the car wasn't on the other side of downtown. Also one of the guys was being a whiney bitch so we left quickly.

We are definitely checking out the Ivy League schools. A friend of mine on the trip is heading to Cornell this fall for grad school so he wants to do that. We will check out the Statue of Liberty. We don't want to drive into the city though... thinking about leaving the car somewhere and taking transit into the city.

Where are the cheesesteak places that aren't overrated? I would be down to meet up for a beer but like I said, the other two are nervous to meet Continuum players. One of the guys actually used to play on the alias Mentar. He says he recognizes your name so I'm still trying to convince them.

Not like I play Continuum anymore...once every 6 months I may pop in. As for meeting...mind you I would not be hanging out with you guys, but rather just raising a pint at some est. I am downtown all the time seeing bands play, so it is no big deal..was just offering to buy a round...not like I would talk continuum crap with you guys LOL...not sure who Mentar is btw.

As for the Cheeseteaks. Jim's on South Street (Center City prox) is not that bad, just don't go for Cheese Wiz...get real cheeses on that! You do have the choice. Pat's and Geno's are ok, but I refer to them as tourist traps.

Tony Luc's on Passyunk Ave. near Citizens Bank Park (Phillies) has some awesome Steaks as well as other food that is real real good.

If you need a good area in Philly to check out for the nightlife, it would be around 2nd and Chestnut (Old City) In fact the Society Hill Hostel is located there if you need a place to hang for a decent price in the heart of the nightlife area.
