Well, about 8 months ago I got a $115 parking ticket and never really went to go pay it off cuz I was too lazy. Then I heard that the NY DMV recently allowed online payments to pay it off so I could do it online. Well, I go in and type in my license plate and it showed the 1 ticket.. but it said PAID .. at that point I'm like .. whoa!
Something must have happened that went in my favor.. I was expecting a notice of some sort in the mail after the first one about a month and a half after I got the ticket.. but nothing happened and I just forgot about the ticket.. and apparently somebody paid it off. Woot! Go me. (and yea there was a $30 penalty fee so the total price of the ticket was $145.00)
on the back of my ticket here it says a $10 penalty fee is added for every month I delay on a payment.. so 3 months? The ticket was given on 8/29/08 at 10:21 and according to my calculations it would've been paid by 11/29/08 .. and on that date I was in the Florida Keys. :O... COOLIE BEANS.. apparently flying on an airplane pays your parking tickets!
