I think it's a crime and deserves to be a crime. The psychological trauma caused by molestation can drive children to commit suicide. I know this from experience. I've saved someone's life and I'm mocked here on the forums for doing it. Every day, I'm called a faggot. Of course, I'm sure nobody even knew that because it's not something I go around flaunting. Child porn is a serious issue and I don't think you should even be joking around if this isn't a serious discussion. I'm not sure if this is a mock thread or not. There are such things as "age of consent (usually 16)" which means it's not penalized (under certain circumstances) to have sex at a certain age. However, it IS considered child pornography if you video tape and/or take pictures. Whether you meant it to be child porn or not is up to you, but the fact is that it's legally considered child porn. You could be arrested and thrown in prison for having any pictures or videos of it. Have a P2P program? Chances are, people have downloaded that video from you if it's in your shared folder. Which is also considered distribution of child pornography whether you meant it or not.

Ethics differ from legalities. Sure, you're 14 and your girl is 14, you make a sex tape - that's not uncommon. Legally it's wrong. It's just how the law works.

There's a difference between having sex when you're 14 with your girlfriend, and a 40 year old touching his friend's 3 year old daughter.
