Believing that America has more crime just because it is America is more ignorant than believing that America has more crime because we have more stringent laws that are fiercely enforced. If you disagree with me then prove me wrong. I have first-hand experience with police corruption in Spain and in France. I don't know anyone that has experienced police corruption in the US (even though I know it goes on, but usually at high drug dealer levels or in isolated incidents).

I don't know why it's so hard for people to believe that America's police force is better and more effective than other nations'. There are advantages and pitfalls to this fact but it is, nevertheless, a fact. I don't really care if a bunch of Euros and a Canadian disagree with me - I've never seen anything to make me believe the opposite.

Finally, I'm sorry you're treated like foreigners in our country but guess what: you are foreigners. Do you think Americans are treated well when they enter countries in Europe? Fuck no. Every nation is xenophobic and that's just something you have to conquer when you're traveling. If you can't then you probably just shouldn't travel.
