In terms of amount MgCl2 has 255 mg/g of magnesium, MgO 600 mg/g, so the amount you need swallow is smaller with the oxide yes, which is the reason most vendors sell that (and the advantage is that is cheaper to produce).

Edit: that 2000 times might only be true compared with MgO products, which is most of the stuff on the market probably. Magnesium carbonate in the stomach actually turns into (dissolved) MgCl2 due to the effect of hydrochloric acid on the carbonate anion.

Gold is useless in the body though, even though it isn't very toxic it is still a heavy metal which is hard to excrete and binds to proteins. Also, gold doesn't turn into gold chloride without a strong oxidizer present, hence aqua regia, which is hydrogen cloride with nitric acid. Without the nitric acid pretty much all other metals dissolve, but not the gold.

Wrong dummy - liquids (which im getting by the way) have solids dissolved in them, they are still solid, theres no such thing as liquid magnesium unless its melted at high temps. a dissolved solid is not a liquid. Magnesium Chloride is 100% ionic, you are getting played by yet another gimmick.

it may be ionic, but it's not a liquid suspension colloid of nanoparticles. nanoparticles travel between stomach cells. although the chloride probably does have high bioavailability it's still going to be defecated slightly more than something which never makes it past the stomach. and it doesn't matter if i 'played by a gimmick (lol?)' because the prices are extremely low, and what do you know, there's also calcium, zinc iron and potassium in the same form for the same low expense.
