    So I guess the Swine Flu is bad?

    I sorta though that.. we were done with this dumb outbreak thing.. they say that millions of people are infected but relatively few have died, and nobody I know has it, nor have there been any huge outbreaks in Houston of all places. So I am curious to know if anyone else has any huge outbreaks of Swine Flu where they live, I live in one of the largest cities in the US, with one of the largest spanish populations, very close to Mexico and there isn't anything.

    So I am assuming that your answer is no, do we really need to get the military involved in a way over worried flu "pandemic"? Personally I think this is bullshit.

      I haven't heard any news source claim that there are millions of cases, I believe it's more in the realm of hundreds of thousands.

      I know quite a few people that have it/ have had it but it's certainly not an 'outbreak'

      I don't think it's yet reached pandemic level over here though one of the conditions of a pandemic doesn't include death levels... it's just about how quickly it's spreading and it has spread quite exponentially thus far. However, I have heard some claims that the number of cases has now reached it's peak.

      In a nutshell; no, it's nothing to worry about.

        I have read millions, and I was wondering why we would need to mobilize troops to help in this pandemic when the worst of what was nothing worse than a regular flu season is already over.

          School and stuff restarting in a ~month for all students, which will mean it's gonna spread more. But yeah, it's nothing to worry about.

            It was all over the Ohio State campus. The number of people who had it was actually far greater than the number the university released, because no one wanted to get tested for it (they shoved a huge Q-tip up your nose... farther than it felt it should go).

            I somehow managed to not get it, which was lucky, because my friend's roommate got it. One of my suitemates also got it.

              about 500 confirmed cases here in Sweden and so far 0 deaths altho one guy might soon be dead I think I read in a newspaper couple days ago.

              I have the flu myself right now but its probably just that.. "normal" flu

                look up the stats on how many die from regular flu during the "flu season"

                Something like 30,000+ die every year of the "regular" flu.

                I think it's the medias way of covering up something else that is happening like; when it was first reported that month was the bloodiest month for troop deaths. Weird.

                    It just doesn't make sense that Swine Flu is such a big worry still, it is spread easier than most flu viruses im sure, but it is also not as deadly.
