I don't have a gaming console at the moment, but I expect to get one in the next couple months. At first I was 99% sure I'd grab an Xbox 360 because it has 5-10x more games I'd play over the PS3.

Now the PS3 is dropping it's price, it's no longer the size of a PC tower and God of War 3 is coming (God of War series is fing amazing!) so it's become a tighter race. Blu-ray is a non issue as my 50 inch plasma isn't 1080p and I have no interest in re-purchasing all my DVD's.

Honestly? You know you're fishing for whatever you can catch when you list the games controller as a reason you would buy the console.

Xbox360 did have problems early on with the red ring of death, and I guess some people still get it. I got it a long time ago, sent my console in, got it repaired for free within a week, didn't have to pay for shipping either. They even extended the warranty to three years if you got red ring of death.

The only reason I would really buy a PS3 is for the blu-ray player. But seeing as how I don't really watch movies very often it would be a waste. I'll be happy with my xbox and PC.

Agreed, for FPS games Xbox controller is better. However, it's awful for sports games. After 2-3 hours of playing NHL 09 my hands are wracked with pain.

when I get #5 back I'm selling it and buying an Elite. Fuck that noise.

BUT MS did repair all of them, no charge to me. I prefer the 360s exclusives (Gears, Mass Effect, Halo, Dead Rising) to the PS3s (MGS4, Infamous). I still think about buying a PS3 from time to time. The Blueray is certainly alluring and now that they're cheaper I may have to pick one up when I get paid.

Are their any good survival horror coming out on the PS3? I would love to be scared shitless in 1080pi

i love my ps3, tho i do hear the gameplay of some of my favorite games is better on xbox like COD4 and 5.

still, i wouldnt trade my ps3 in.

I only have 2 games so far, Killzone 2 and MVC2 and they are both superb. Especially KZ2, awesome shooter on the ps3. The online makes it a great game.
