Why the fuck does everyone else need free health care when the ones that deserve it, AKA MILITARY VETERANS get the shittiest health care possible?

Its fucked up how shitty VA hospitals are... and that's where a vet has to go to get free health care. Normal hospitals will reroute them to some random VA hospital a hundred miles away unless they are emergencies.

VA hospitals are the ones where vets go to get bloodwork and contract aids, because the needles were reused and unsterilized. THAT is the disgrace in this country.

Veterans that served and earned the right of free health care get fucked over, while everyone who didn't work for it now gets it. Awesome. Why not shit in the cherios while your at it... you already have been pissing in the milk for years.

So you are saying that the previous president administrations (that basically were all white males, republican or democrat) that did nothing for the VA's. Now that a black democrat is trying to start some movement on healthcare you just automatically assume VA's are going to be left out? He's trying to make that change yet you won't support him because of previous administrations?

It's health care reform it's not instituting their own plans on how it should be to everything they want it to be. It's editting shitty health care services that has screwed over many many people (even the ones with good health insurance!). Reform can be compromised but special interest groups want something from both sides so they will set forth their propaganda to both sides and both sides will act like retards rather than consider the benefits of what they can accomplish if they worked together rather than fight each other.

You may not support your president, you may not like him, you may in fact be a racist and dont give a shit about his political agenda. He is our commander and chief however, he got in with the popular vote. You have to support him especially if he's in this shitty situation where he was handed a giant piece of turd to take care of in this government.

Clearly you need to stop acting like the child and realize that you can support a president while still disagreeing with some of his policies. The only criticism I had toward you was that you are prejudging the current administration's health care plan to not reform VA healthcare and instead to make it worse based off of previous administrations (that included both parties) who never did anything to improve it except leave it being awful. That's all I really disagreed with you.

I never called you personally a racist (this is now more in a generalized approach to basically a lot of people who will truthfully admit that they don't like Obama based off of race, the others are people who think he's the next anti-christ, followed by hardcore conservatives like kthx - though at least he backs up his claims with some plausibility rather than just picking problems that weren't created by who you are arguing against that is trying to help fix these problems).

I never said you can't have a differing opinion, heck it's what made this country. But you can't disagree with every fucking single thing he says based off of whatever stupid reason you got to not like him. Oh, and of course it isn't "free". Not even veteran medical is "free". There is always a co-pay. This whole medical thing will just allow people the option of that or their regular insurance that they already have. Either way you pay money.

Actually, a person that was in the military joined the military promised specific benefits for doing so. That is the nature of a volunteer-based military.

And yes, a veteran deserves all the rights in the world over a regular joe 9-5er when they were promised those benefits. YES, they do, because they worked for it and they signed up for it. Regular 9 to 5 joe also had the choice if he wants to sign up for the military for these benefits as well, and if he chooses not to so be it. Either way, he does not deserve the same entitlements when he did not pay years of his life in servitute for it.


Also, just to make sure you understand what I mean by servitute... A member of the united states military is not considered a citizen anymore. He does NOT have the same rights as a civilian. The constitution does NOT apply to him, as he has to follow the UCMJ (uniformed code of military justice) as his bill of rights. What goes in that book is all the rights he has, which does not include freedom of speech.

A member of the military cannot sue the military for anything. If a member of the military has a broken leg and goes to the doctor, and lets say that doctor chops his arm off on accident, there is no law suit. That member of the military sucks it up as occupational hazard and moves along.

A veteran should not be treated the same. How would you like it if you went to the doctor for regular blood work and you contracted AIDs along with 16 others because that doctor did not sterilize and use new needles? How would you like that? THOSE are normal cases at VA hospitals. THAT is WRONG, and needs to be changed.


So no, joe schmoe 9 to 5er does NOT deserve the same benefits as veterans, because they did not serve their country in the same way. It is your own choice to volunteer, and if you do not then don't come whining that you didn't get the opportunity. It is the same reason why people say to military members, "hey you signed the contract, deal with it"... well guess what? "hey, you didn't sign the contract, deal with it".
