I think going to Israel or Egypt would be really cool if it were a bit safer. I'd also love to visit Scotland.

I've been to Cairo twice, great city, very modern. Very safe stuff. Many parts of Israel are safe as well. I've never been though.

You do want to steer clear of the Egyptian countryside, sketchy parts over there. I talked to this Moroccan living in Egypt, only knew french and arabic. So we talked pretty smoothly in french, and he told me a shitload of what he's heard about the countryside, barbaric in a lot of places. However, places within cairo and al-jizah and alexandria you can stay in without a single concern about safety.

I'd contemplate giving my left testicle to visit Rabat in Morocco though :wub:

Israel was quite an interesting country to visit, but on the same time it's not a country you want to visit twice on your lifetime. Started my "journey" in Southern Israel (Eilat) and then went to check out the Dead Sea and Jerusalem + Bethlehem. It was pretty safe back then, but.. times have changed. :fear:

Some people count buss trips through a country and 1 day visits as conquering
the whole country.. Seeing just one city in a country isn't enough for me, I
always look for experiences such as the nature and contacts with the locals,
and definately I always want to taste the local foods and drinks There's
several levels to tourism, and I hate those that just take ready made tourist
experiences and yawn while doing so.
