I have here a few questions for an IT take home assignment. If anyone has any input, please feel free to post :turned:

1. Design a file server naming all components, their parts and costs and justify your decision. The application is for a small accounting office having 10 work stations, 3 laser jet printers and internet connectivity. In your configuration of hardware, let us not forget the software for both workstations and server.

2. An office has an amalgamation of printer computers et al which need protection. Show the calculations and alternatives for hardware protection. Use the example above for computer allocation.

3. A network is running 10/100 baseT Ethernet. The network is running near capacity. Should fibre optic media be used with this configuration? If so, why, if not, why not? Are there any other considerations in going to fiber optics, if so, describe them in detail...hardware? costs?

4. Describe the differences between DuoCore, Quad Core, and Dual processors

not buying a $160 book for the one assignment we've been given all semester. I'm using google for the other 9 questions I didn't post here, the reason I came here is cause I figured there'd be some people who might enjoy the subject and have some input, I guess should've expected the irrelevant posts trolling though.

Once again, any help would be appreciated. Not asking for the answer, asking for INPUT as I said in the beginning.

I just don't see why it is necessary for you to even speak. I asked a question on problems that I don't quite understand and need help with, if you don't want to help, don't post, its that simple

If people do have something to say on the subject, that'd be great cause I'm pretty far from knowledgeable on the subject (this is why I came here). and if nobody does, let this post fall off the board
