It's interesting to see how the liberal media thinks. The census problems are caused by "anti-government conservatives". Tea Party activists are "hateful and violent" people.
Conservatives and tea partiers must be the new "George Bush". Bush has been gone long enough that not even the most biased journalist can blame everything on him anymore so the new scapegoat for the left is the "anti-government conservatives" and tea party activists.
I'm a conservative and I have decided to join the tea party but I'm not anti-government or anti-census. I am "anti-Obama" and "anti-socialistic big government" though. I'm sure that nuance is beyond the typical liberal journalist. For them it's only one kind of "anti-government conservative" and one kind of hateful "tea party activist".
I'm so glad our "transformational" president has put an end to the polarization in America. Truth is, it's worse than ever thanks to Mr. "hope and change".

I'm not up on the facts enough to speak to whether or not the current census is being done correctly, but I do have a opinion about the value of census data. My opinion is the same as Lord Kelvin (1893, a guy who certainly understood the use of good data).
“When you can measure what you are speaking about, and express it in numbers, you know something about it; but when you cannot measure it, when you cannot express it in numbers, your knowledge is of a meager and unsatisfactory kind.”
