The verdict rang alarm bells far beyond The Buckeye State. On June 2nd, the Ohio Supreme Court ruled that police officers could issue speeding tickets based merely on visual estimates. The media frenzy was predictable, with most outlets mirroring a CNN report that said, "Motorists in Ohio, beware: Speeding is in the eye of the beholder, especially when police are the ones guesstimating."

Yeah... it's complete bullshit. Everyone I know is super pissed about this. They say that one way they can tell you're speeding is if you're moving faster than everyone around you. But honestly, maybe you're surrounded by a bunch of old people who don't drive the speed limit? When I was driving to work the other morning everyone was going about 60, and I was going 70, so it looked like I was moving relatively quickly. I saw a cop and got scared cuz of the new law, so I had to slow down too, and then I was almost late to work. :busted:Pandagirl!
