it's actually pretty neat. after reading enough you'll find writers often are obvious about it in a sneaky way. if you've ever seen the tv show 'archer' (which i would highly recommend, if you like h jon benjamin), as an example in one episode archer mysteriously pulls a grenade out of nowhere and lana asks where he got it from, and he replies "i found it hanging on the lampshade"
