Great American Beer Festival!

Went to the connoisseur tasting session for free yesterday $$$ always a drunken good time, AND I didn't smash my glass this year.

Most interesting beer (that I remember) was the "Strange Brew" Red Pepper Porter from a brewery up in Washington state. I need to find some of that for wintertime.

I generally despise chili/spicy beers. This one was good because it tasted a little choclatey and smokey at the same time. Wasn't spicy at all -- the red pepper just warmed you with that deep heat you get from eating anything w/red pepper.
