I really liked this series until the dark magic sorcery came into play. This series was special in that it was more realistic until that red queen spawned a demon out of her vagina or something. However I'm really looking forward to seeing this!

Personally, I'm taking the time to re-read the books along with my studies. My favorite characters by far are Tyrion Lannister, Arya Stark, and Jon Snow. Daenerys Targaryen comes close on the top 3, but her character development was quite rapid in the first 2 novels.

i got sort of lost in book 4 when we spent so much time on the eastern continent with so many new characters, it was like beginning a new series.
