But you don't really know do you? I mean it feels like it's all "holy fuck god is inside my head", but then that is what drugs do, they distort the reality.Originally posted by gran guerrero View PostI do believe that spiritual experiences are generated on a temporary by-product of drug use over a period of time if one manages to contemplate it with seriousness rather than just doing it just to get fucked up.
People often go to write shit down whilst they are on drugs, thinking that they are having earth shattering thoughts, then read their shit when they are not high and realise it is not very insightful at all.
Others wont bother to read it, or will come up with some bullshit about how they need to be high to be able to comprehend it.
In the word of Frank Zappa "A drug is not bad. A drug is a chemical compound. The problem comes in when people who take drugs treat them like a license to behave like an asshole."

To quote TWD chat from yesterday (probably not exact, i didn't log it
)
"Can't wait for new years eve -- Going to get a shitload of coke, party all night, and bang the shit out of my girlfriend" - Tagmor
I think tag just doesn't like people saying drugs make u smarter. lol. I definitely don't smoke weed often in order to raise my brain power .... and about the only thing I'm better at is cooking and some video games.
Still -- people should do what they want, as long as it doesn't interfere in the lives of others.
(and gran/ph, sorry for three posts in a row, i was just looking at pictures to start with lololol) <3

I was just pulling out a minor example of hypocrisy because wine is alcohol, alcohol is a drug. I don't care if it's a cup, a sip or whatever, but they do some churches even give it to their kids? Or do they just give them grape juice? I don't really know, but kind of seems like they are encouraging the youth to get into drinkingThey drink a cup of wine for symbolic purposes and certainly not to get drunk.
All religions have some crazy shit in it, that involves you doing something along the lines of fasting/starving yourself of food and water and then getting you to eat/drink/inhale/smoke this <whatever> and then guides you on a spiritual path to God. It's no different than setting up someone to get ready to have an intense trip that will test their mind and willpower. It's a trip into your soul (or brain) that gives you spiritual enlightenment because they discover what they think is a holy/satanic being which is in essence themselves because it is their own conscious/subconscious/identity/ego/w.e you want to call it. Language is changed in explaining it but its all the same if you experienced it.Probably.. there have been Christian practices of all kinds of crazy shit.
I have tripped almost about 10 times, so I can say that I have experience with experimenting with psychadelics. I have tried various kinds ranging to all kinds probably with the exception of Peyote which I would like to try one day. I've managed to avoid doing Heroine, cocaine, or methamphetimes (unless you include adderall) and ketamines (partly due to the fact that I was always afraid of the possible addiction I might attain if I go down that road. I've seen many friends who've gotten more fucked up to that shit than smoking weed or tripping balls on mushrooms. Not saying that people don't get serious side effects from constantly abusing a drug. It's not that a drug does serious damage unless one has an addictive personality to it. I smoke weed every day, but I don't see how it affects me negatively, and I have heard all the pros and cons about it and I don't want to change my opinion on it. What I discovered through my own psychadelic trips is that like all things, you build a tolerance to it. In the beginning the visuals are intense, its like going through a bog of imagery. You can get lost in it, it's the cluttered shit that exists within the bowels of your mind. If you manage to get past that then you will find that the path opens up in a certain direction. Like as if there was a light at the end of the tunnel, with each trip I managed to shape and form my perspective to the point that I was entering within my own mind deeper and deeper everytime. I was going down a rabbit hole you could say. I think everyone shares a similar experience that I go through, but they have a different way of explaining it. I do believe that spiritual experiences are generated on a temporary by-product of drug use over a period of time if one manages to contemplate it with seriousness rather than just doing it just to get fucked up. I do drugs to get fucked up every now and then, but when I trip I treat the situation with an agenda of learning. It's like I enter a different dimension in where vast amounts of information can be presented to me in an instant because it all lies within the information of our DNA. We have the capability of accomplishing anything if we can access our internal third eye that brings us clarity. If you don't agree with me, that's fine. I have no intention of changing you, maybe it has affected me in a way that you can't comprehend, but this post has brought me some closure on my own personal feelings to what I have experienced. I won't deny that at times the risk was a bit higher than what I had anticipated and there were scary moments. You could say I went through a state of mind where I did die, I did meet God, and I had a change gone through me that a lot of people can relate too. Some will call me crazy, but I think I manage to uphold my sanity much better than most people. Yes I lose myself at times, but who doesn't. There's a lot of things I still don't know, and I'm contemplating a lot of things about my existence. However, it's been a wonderful ride and if I was to die tonight, then tomorrow would be a great day to start that adventure I've always wanted to take.Originally posted by TagMor View PostSo are you implying that psychedelics bridge communication between the user and God, or that God is a fictional product of psychedelic use?

What's so delusional about the fascinating characteristics of psychedelics? Your own whistle-blowing over dramatic and untrue descriptions of psychedlics? Or the ones we actually experience?
'anti-bullshit drug culture that breeds delusional perceptions of drugs' ... you're describing yourself.
