wont your standard differential put the power to the wheel with the least resistance? i think your standard diff is also called 'traction assisted'

i would imagine a wheel hanging up in the air has very little resistance (traction.)

unless they were in neutral the whole time. or there isnt a diff at all and the left wheels are just open completely

well theoretically i am sure they could simply put their foot down on the spinning tire and stop it, but that wouldn't explain how the 2 left-side axles remain motionless while they work on the tires or whatever... they would have started spinning again as soon as they pulled the tires off. i can't see the video clearly enough to see whether or not they are still spinning. even if they were, though, perhaps they simply shoved the tires onto the axle and forcibly stopped it. i imagine that would somehow disrupt power to the right-side wheels though (as the gears "caught" eachother and such) and cause the vehicle to lose its balance.
