Honestly it looks pretty interesting to me. I can't decide which family I would choose in the story mode. I'd want to play as Lannister, Stark, and definitely Targaryen. What do yall think?

when i say "haven't really hit up a pc game since sc2 dropped" i'm talking about something with a single player campaign, something with some meat to it, something a bit more modern than subspace. i automatically exclude subspace from such statements as it's consistently been the one game on my plate no matter what for over a decade. didn't feel the need to point out something that obvious.

stark is just being a little snarky (and appropriately so, i chuckled) because i've been scarce in ss as of late, despite trying to get a squad off the ground.

I'm actually reading the first book at the moment. Kind of losing interest, though. But by obligation I have to finish every book I start so it's right by the crapper.

edit: And the cartoon knight on the page definitely looks like Heath Ledger from A Knight's Tale. I think that's what they were going for.

Disagree. I believe the best series ever will be the Stormlight Archive. Way of Kings was incredible. Brandon Sanderson = new favorite author. Haven't read a book of his that I didn't like.

Jason, hit up UT3. I've been playing Unreal since around 96 and Unreal Tournament since 99. I was so excited for UT to come out, i remember being at the store with my mom (i was like what, 12?)

Unreal Tournament has some pretty good graphics (to put some perspective, a ton of games like Gears of War 1-3 uses the Unreal Gaming and Graphics Engine). Believe it or not, not a lot of people play this game, even tho it's so incredibly awesome. I mean, i'm not sure if you're a real PC gamer like I am, I play PC games every day of my life basically. But this game is a shit load of fun. It has a campaign mode, some Instant Action mode if you just want to play against bots (seriously, develop some skill in this game, it's so much fun to use in other games. You'll learn a ton!).

The Unreal Tournament games are what the "professional gamers" compete in, among only a couple others. There is so much to learn in that game, physically-your-skill-wise, that it takes a long time to master. Play against bots for a while until you're familiar with the game, then step into a multiplayer match against other players for an entire new perspective on the game. It's seriously amazing.

Edit: I feel I should mention that, if you're in for some incredibly detailed and explicit storyline, you're not much in luck. It's basically, "We're being attacked, kill them!" where you're set up into a specific arena, not a world. You have to get X amount of kills before the enemy / or enemy team. (Deathmatch and Team Deathmatch - except you're not eliminated like in SS)
