  • Beer Swapping Program

Anyone here interested in swapping some local beers from your area, I know that with Christmas and Halloween coming up that there are a ton of local microbrews doing Pumpkin Ales or some nice Christmas Ales and I want to be able to try more than I usually do. So my idea is simple we trade out even bottles from Texas microbrews with microbrews from wherever you live. Since were gonna be swapping addresses only non-retarded people need apply.

Some of the stuff coming out in Houston soon is:

St. Arnolds used to be a tiny microbrew but they are a bit bigger now, most of their beer is mediocre (since budweiser bought them out) but they still have great seasonals and divine reserves which sell out in about 5 hours after they release it.

Real Ale is one of the better beers in Texas, they make some awesome stuff and this will be the first year I am getting any of their fall line, but their Phoenixx Double ESB was amazing.

Also Southern Star (don't have a pic) just released a smoked porter for the fall season also, and they make a few really good beers (pine belt pale ale and bombshell blonde)

Anyways, anyone here who actually knows a bit about beer hit me up.

If you see anything you'd like to try from yards, philadelphia, troegs, victory, sly fox, or any other local pennsylvania brewer, let me know.

Maybe trade a pumpkin spice beer or two? God knows the stuff is cheap enough here.

troegs does a fantastic double bock, and also a winter brew called mad elf which is pretty good, but only for one glass. http://www.troegs.com/our_brews.aspx

some good beers from here by list:
        victory - v12, Belgian quad
        troegs - Troegenator double bock
        weyerbacher - blithering idiot barleywine
        weyerbacher - imperial pumpkin ale

The Porter and the Double Bock both look pretty good, also I respect breweries that use lots of Chinook hops, means they have lots of flavor most of the time.

Abita is sold here, never had LA31 or Nawlin's Gold.

And no Oranje, this isn't a joke. Good beer and good food is my job and my hobby so.

Yeah, Canada doesn't have that many good microbrews yet, not that I personally know of anyways I am sure there are a few if you follow beer.

Columbus has some good microbreweries so if anyone wants anything from Columbus let me know. I'm more of a wine drinker than a beer drinker though.
