actually vati, we're (and by we i mean forum admins and mods) discussing letting the like/dislike system go entirely as far as policing it.

in fact, to make it more fun, i wanna enable the option for posts to auto-collapse if they receive enough dislikes. so if a guy is disliking all your posts, you can rally the troops and you and your buds can wield the sword of justice yourselves by disliking his posts back and sending them straight into oblivion.

kthx - I wrote a really long reply detailing many things, but decided not to fag up this thread any more. Just realize that there are many points for me to post those videos and that I am not fagging up the thread by posting the videos. I would only be fagging up the thread by making a huge reply like I was about to.


mobey - it still is the golden era for these games. Go play some online matches, in any of the games. There are a ton of people still playing, and its extremely competitive.

i played Quake 3D, the online version, for about 15 minutes, just doesn't seem to have the original fascination i had with them way back in the day, i guess the 'standards' of modern FPS's now have diluted the genre to be all about fancy graphics, more mods and abilities and trying to balance all that shit with the combat while keeping a community going, the golden era is long gone.
