    I don't think the Bible should, or was ever even mean to be taken literally. The stories are undoubtedly timeless, and the lessons taught by them are great tools to instill a good moral code in children.

    Having said that, I still don't believe in religion.

      Disney instills a good moral code in children. Does that change the fact that the guy who made it is a known Anti-Semite and Nazi sympathizer?

          at the time of jesus abandoning the holy text was a pseudo-scientific-philosophical revolution in western culture. morale was no longer an objective thing, humans had a say in it. thus, not believing in the message of the bible only works to some extent.
