Bruce Almighty : Review

This movie overall has some funny scenes in it, I spent most my time wondering what I would do if I was god. Bruce happens to use his special powers to further his career blah blah blah failing to blah blah blah prayers. My attention was pressed for interest, at times I was into it and at other times I wasn't. All of a sudden this movie takes an obvious twist and goes right into a chick flick. With Bruce trying desperatly to get his girlfriend back. How pathedic.... If you ask me Jim... stick with your comedy movies

Rating: If you want to see this movie, get your girlfriend to pay for it or wait until it comes out of video. Otherwise be disappointed

Your a disappointment. This movie was very funny and it may or may not have turned into a chick flick.. but just because you wrestle with your own man hood doesn't mean you discount a movie simply on that basis. Good movie and its a must see.

I think that people shouldn't be allowed to critique movies until they can create their own good movie.

Bruce was a story for everyone, just because there weren't enough breasts or explosions for you doesn't mean it was a movie made in bad taste, learn to appreciate it bub, it's good stuff.

Bruce Almighty is worth watching even if it was only for the anchor scene

I COULD NOT STOP LAUGHING< IT STARTED TO HURT I WAS LAUGHING SO MUCH< YOU WOULD THINK AFTER A MINUTE OR SO IT WOULD OF GOTTEN OLD BUT YOU WOULD BE WRONG< IT ONLY GOT FUNNIER AND THEN MORE FUNNIER UNTIL THE SCENE CUTS TO TONY BENNETT AT THE RESTAURANT WHERE I THEN HAD TO RECUPERATE

all in all I thought it was a decent movie, I enjoyed it as a comedy, drama, romance, family, or whatever it turned out to be.

c-dawg you are wrong based purely on the fact that your one statement, that you were bored at times, should not be true. The movie had funnies written through the whole script, some less obvious, but therefore making it even more funny when u figure them out. There hasn't been a comedy for a while since There's Something About Mary, where the directors actually focus on making it funny instead of constructive funny.

heh ty jonesy, its appricated... yes I like to stir up a lil trouble from time to time I agree with ya kim, it was funny through out the movie, but I still regret paying for the damn thing, maybe its because it cost me 40 bucks for 3 tickets a couple drinks and a popcorn, or maybe its because we were told to pipe down when my girls father and I couldn't stop laughing at the finger trumpet bit... I still think the chick bits were hurtin and lost my interest quick.. but if I gave it a good review do you think I'd get so many opinionated replies?

I've come up with a system. I give the movie as one of Jim Carrey a rating out of 5. Following that, I add 5 to the denominator and an accurate score is made. Theoretically, Jim Carrey fans can subtract that 5 from the denominator to have a good idea of how much they'll enjoy the film. The rest of us, the fans of good filmmaking, can leave it alone.
