you need a delete button for when a person first posts the message... so that if something like this happens you can just delete it. But the delete button would only work when no one has posted on it.. that way if the thread becomes popular the thread maker can just delete it for the hell of itComment

So after like 5 hours or something, you're not longer able to delete or edit your posts. It gives you plenty of time to catch your mistakes and even erase them.Comment
