  • Books to read

Ok, so I need a new book to read.

Books I have liked in the past:

The Way of Kings, Mistborn series, Elantris, Warbreaker, Night Angel Trilogy, Lightbringer series, Wheel of Time, Saga of Recluse, Sword of Truth, Kingkiller trilogy(Patrick Rothfuss).

    Any ideas?

I didn't like the Drizzt books. They weren't well-written. It seemed like all of the books were just "We're gonna run over here and fight a battle with little to no character development or motivation for our actions" over and over again in each book. I lost interest pretty quickly.

        The Magician: Master

        by Raymond E. Feist

Any other books by him is at your discretion to read but also very good books, but those two are a must.

I read a bunch of the Riftwar series, but lost interest after a while. I think I got up to like 10 books or something before I got a bit tired of it.

This isnt fantasy, but try bernard cornwell's Saxon Stories, so far 5 books starting from The Last Kingdom. Excellent writing and interesting close to real life story.

I've been wanting to try The Warded Man and the sequel and such, but haven't found it near me at the library, so I'm up for anything similar to that, as well.

Mike Brotherton wrote a couple of sci-fi novels, spider star and star dragon. But that's not likely going to be at your library now is it.. hmm.
The Warden Man looks really interesting. I want to read that.

I told you, man. That book is amazing. I've read it 3 times, now. Can't wait for the sequel. Brandon Sanderson updates the progress on his books on his website, he says he's 35% done with it.

Nice . Did you know that the last Wheel of Times comes out the 6th (or maybe 8th) of january?

Suppose Mistborn is worth it as well? Got any other books I can order along with it?

                            Ps: Kaladin ftw

Kaladin is awesome, man. Mistborn is for a younger audience, but it's not bad. Warbreaker and Elantris are good, though. The magic systems in all of them are very unique and interesting. That's kind of what he's known for, being the awesome magic system guy. But you should check out Brent Weeks, he has some good books, too. But if I were to have to pick a second-favorite book, it would be the Patrick Rothfuss series. Can't wait for the final book in the Kingkiler trilogy to come out. So far Sanderson and Rothfuss are my favorite authors.
