a bit childish but I am a fan of the Redwall series by Brian Jacques
It's basically Watership Down

Pratchett is brilliant. Love discworld. Salvatore was just... shallow. No substance. Discworld is just hilarious. Doesn't get any better than that for a good laugh.

Did megaman96 just derail a book thread by saying 3 words? god people, learn to internet.
I used to like R.A Salvatore back a few years when I still read alot of fantasy, him and Robert Jordan, but you already covered that. Also, Terry Pratchett, always Terry Pratchett.

A few days ago when I saw the thread's last post was from megaman, my first thought was "this guy can't read". Turns out I was right.Originally posted by Jason View Postp.s. you're such a fucking tool, mm89. seriously... it's a book thread you ignorant philastine. and if you took the time to read anything at all, you wouldn't have to look up the word philastine. you know you had to look it up. don't try to deny it.

I never got someone so angry before by typing 3 words. Did Santa not bring you what you want?

I thought: Jesus! I'm not really good with words, but philistine, i think.Originally posted by Jason View Postare we limiting suggestions strictly to the fantasy genre?
if not, check out house of leaves by mark danielewski. if you can get past the rather tiresome footnote stuff, it's a mindfuck and a half.

I knew what it meant but looked it up anyways just to make sure it was defined in how I thought it was defined!

Kaladin is awesome, man. Mistborn is for a younger audience, but it's not bad. Warbreaker and Elantris are good, though. The magic systems in all of them are very unique and interesting. That's kind of what he's known for, being the awesome magic system guy. But you should check out Brent Weeks, he has some good books, too. But if I were to have to pick a second-favorite book, it would be the Patrick Rothfuss series. Can't wait for the final book in the Kingkiler trilogy to come out. So far Sanderson and Rothfuss are my favorite authors.

NiceOriginally posted by Kahlan View PostI told you, man. That book is amazing. I've read it 3 times, now. Can't wait for the sequel. Brandon Sanderson updates the progress on his books on his website, he says he's 35% done with it.
. Did you know that the last Wheel of Times comes out the 6th (or maybe 8th) of january?
Suppose Mistborn is worth it as well? Got any other books I can order along with it?
Ps: Kaladin ftw
