The likely reason the police officer gave it back and said have a nice day is because the officer knew it would not be worth the trouble of going to court to prosecute him. If this guy was committing a crime he wouldn't be driving around with that crap on/in his car so he let him go.

An affidavit is the document you file in support of written notice. I might file a notice that I'm going to sue someone, stating what I'm suing them for - like fraud - and what I want - money, a lien on someone's property, etc. I serve the notice first, it starts the process and it creates the next deadline. An affidavit comes later, and describes the events that support my claim. "X called me and told me he worked for a large computer company and he'd found viruses on my computer. So I gave him my password so he could fix the computer." Etc. It isn't a list of demands.

An affidavit is expected/assumed to be true, until demonstrated otherwise. So calling a document an affidavit of truth is like calling something a soup of liquid.

Anyone who uses this illegitimate affidavit is basically plugging their ears with their fingers and shouting LA LA LA LA LA LA I DO WHAT I WANT.

I still don't understand what the fuck is going on in that video. How does some made-up affidavit let you ignore the law? Driving a vehicle on the street is a privilege, not a right. You are not inherently born with the right to drive a car. You need permission to be allowed to do so, due to the dangerous nature of driving A) without the knowledge of the rules of the road and B) without insurance.
