is it something like what Bernie Sanders talked about?
thats what DSA is, bernie isn't really affiliated with DSA but obviously there's alot of shared values so people tend to associate the two
DSA is basically the last surviving remnants of radical groups from the '60s, SDS and SNCC and groups like that, as they shrank under the dominant conservative wave of the 80's they downsized and merged and downsized and the last groups formed DSA in like the mid 80's
they takes a "By any means necessary" approach to elections which means yes, if it's beneficial to do so, DSA candidates will run as Democrats - though they are always funded via grassroots DSA campaigns and not the actual DNCC. Of course if possible they will run as "independent" or even open democratic socialists.
The big debate within DSA right now, the thing being discussed by the national committee, is whether or not to "hijack" the DNC the way the tea party hijacked the GOP, or to strike out and form a new party because the DNC is trash and will never not be trash. edit: the DNC recently purged its leadership of people considered even remotely "progressive" so the idea that the DNC is a leftist political party is pretty hilarious
this video is 2 years old which shows how quickly this technology is improving, developing and adapting
honestly though to calm the public the next video released needs to be another video where a few humans beat the shit out of Atlas with hockey sticks to assert our dominance
i really, really loved bernie. his ideas were very similar to how finland and scandinavian countries are run so i understand a bit about that.
i didnt understand much of your post but this and i agree
it should have been Sanders vs. Trump in the TWLD finals
here's a piece on how DSA gained a pretty decent foothold in local elections this month
basically: DNC has ignored farming new talent for like a decade to focus 100% on President Clinton. They rarely, if ever, use DNC funds to fund races they think are "impossible" and have just been losing seats profusely since 2008. It's an elitist political org that's basically the Republican party except they think that the soldiers being sent over to the middle east to die for oil should also include gay and transgender soldiers.
So in the wake of Bernie doing his thing alot of people suddenly wanted an alternative to the Democratic Party. Alot of leftist orgs that have basically been in hibernation for decades suddenly sprang to life, ready to use the experience learned throughout the civil rights era to build local political movements. Canvassing, working with the community, grassroots fundraising, that sort of thing. It's exciting to watch it grow and in terms of numbers, there hasn't been a socialist movement like this in the united states in something like a century, during the time of Eugene Debs and those folks

I actually read something very similar to this in that Milo yiannopolos book, imagine that?

i dont understand why this didn't happen sooner and why nothing has been done. maybe watching dnc literally cheat in the primaries and ignore voters really meant something. maybe younger people read more. maybe it is because of the internet. whatever
i have never understood the system you use in the usa and why it can continue. people should have been in the streets decades ago.

I am glad for you guys and thanks for the info.
edit: i really think dsa should distance themselves from feminism though.

this almost requires some deep sort of discussion about society itself and why the masses seem to never seem to be aware of their potential power. the potential is always there but why does it suddenly explode at certain times and for what reasons, i dunno.
i think obama winning really took alot of wind out of the sails of the progressive movement that had been building against bush's post-9/11 conservative machine. everyone sort of told themselves that electing a black president meant Everything Is Going To Be Good Now, especially cuz he spouted all that bullshit about closing gitmo, pulling out of the mideast, etc etc etc
in alot of ways obama was the neoliberal hail mary, one last attempt to show that the neoliberal model of government that emerged in the 90's still worked. that the system was fine and just needed to be tweaked and have good people at the helm. obviously he shattered any notion of that being remotely true and by 2016 people were ready, as a mass, to reject more neoliberal candidates. only two people really, truly existed outside of that neolib DC politician world, sanders and trump. one of them made it to the actual presidential race and that's who the masses chose.
e: by "Neoliberal" i mean the school of thought that emerged after the fall of the USSR that sort of declared that We Were At The Final Stage Of Civilization, that the global system we have now is the final and best form of society. There's that one dude who was famous for declaring the 90's to be "the end of history" or whatever, as we'd finally attained perfect democracy or some bullshit. i think that this is what right-wingers also mean when they talk about "establishment" types

internet has been such a huge factor and people growing up with it can vote now and/or are mature/knowledgeable enough and call bullshit when they see it.
That's one of my hypotheses. Another one is that people are just getting so fed up and with the help of the internet even older people can be persuaded. The robot wins again.

Obama was very good at making speeches. I own 2 of his books that I bought around that time in '08. It was a while ago but holy shit he had me hooked. And he wasn't even nearly as good as Hitler in my opinion(based on an abundance of videos of speeches made by Hitler (edit: for clarification: i am now talking about being a good orator strictly) and also not being an idiot and understanding the Versailles pact after WW1). Bottomline is; Obama knew what to say and when to say it.

i fucking hate words like these. I can't keep up. if someone tells me they are neo-whatever, i automatically assume they are either talking about anime or Hitler. The next 10 seconds are pretty interesting.
On the other hand it is hard to describe what best suits you.
The difference is Bernie was too much of a fucking pussy to be president and you both know it. He had the microphone taken from him by "blm members", he got politically cucked by Hillary Clinton and the DNC and instead of fighting back he went and told everyone who believed in him to go vote for Hillary Clinton who most bernie supporters hated more than Trump himself, and after that he got to retire in a brand new multi million dollar mansion. It would have been a disaster with him as president and people would have walked all over him.
And who cares if a robot can do a back flip, if anything they can replace the mundane bullshit jobs and we can kick all the illegal immigrants out, that takes out one of the reasons why people want them here to begin with, because they do the jobs nobody wants right?
