It is at this juncture that I ask for a moment of your time.

I will save you the sob story of why I don't have a job and probably won't in the near future.

People start up fundraisers for all kinds of crazy shit, and hell, I have some skills why don't I offer them to the fine people on this game? After all this game has people from all walks of life and society, even a big-shot factory owner walks among us apparently. Floats. Glides. Basically there must be some among us who can help.

The Situation:
I have put myself into debt (nothing I can't escape from) because of weed. I've gone months and months of spotting, payday loans, asking parents, etc. and now it is finally caught up with me: there is no weed money left. It sucks but I knew this day would come. Thing is every time I've smoked for the last few months I've logged onto this game, except when my computer was out of service. I put hours and hours into this game because it's so casual yet so addicting and rewarding of skill, the fact that I could entertain people or make them laugh with my absurd or sarcastic humour is the cherry on top. Obviously it's incredibly fun for me as well and I'd like to continue expressing myself as this "character" for as long as it makes people laugh, makes people think, or just makes them go "WHY????". Without weed though I can't even load up the game; I get angry and frustrated too easily and the game seems quite boring. I believe the game is made on the social interactions and without weed I'm just not tuned in to the social aspect of life. Therefore without this drug I will probably not be seen on the game.

The Offer
If anyone is interested in rectifying that situation, so that I can continue to play this game at a "high" level and hopefully grow its population, I am accepting financial assistance on the order of, well, anything really but the maximum I'd need for this month I calculated at $140. I smoke about 1g a day and there'd be about 15 days left in the month. However I think I can offer more to make it worthwhile. So if you donated that entire amount this is what I would do for you:

- First of all I'd play the game (pub and elim, maybe TWDT) for 6 hours a day minimum. I could also take a ER position and host certain things every day maybe as part of my time obligation.
- If you're the sole donor, maybe even if you're not, I will provide stock market advice at no cost to you. So I will tell you anything good I find, and you can decide if it's worth acting on. I do this as part of my weed routine anyway, so it is no extra work. As for my skills in this regard I have a financial planning diploma (Canada), my highest sustained annualized return (on a simulator to be fair) was 56%. I believe I have one of the best minds for the stock market outside of being an investment professional. Even then I'm sure I'm better than many of the professionals, unless they are a trader for a living. Obviously the profits on this could far exceed the $140/month you pay me if you have the cash to work with. I'm also writing an e-book on the topic which covers investing/trading but goes much deeper into the philosophy of crowds and human psychology - I would provide this to you when it's reached a certain level of completion.
- I can donate the pubbux I earn from playing to you.
- Pretty much anything else you ask me to do. I would be a slave of this community, so if you want me to dress up in a warbird cosplay and have me stand downtown and record it, I will do it. You can be creative.

Conclusion
I am going to be taking a break from this game unless I have weed. I'm not trying to hold people hostage I am going to do my best to enjoy the game without it if I can. But if there is anyone who believes in me, wants to help me, etc., I am giving you guys the option. And if there's anyone who wants to take this game to a different level, maybe make some cash because you knew a guy on spaceships, then I can help with that as well. I respect anyone who chooses not to help, no hard feelings for sure it's just a luxury. I'll make it ya know. But if you do help I'm sure I can make it worth it for you.

I feel for your suffering and have high regards for your interests in reading and contemplating the game from an intellectual point of view. Unfortunately, you are a giant newbie and all of your intellect is wasted towards coming up with a unifying theory of Subspace Psychology which is destined to either come up short or worst case scenario, have you caught up in a web of Jessup-level victim mentality. As the most experienced elder in the game on these matters I suggest you grow your own and take charge of your destiny... or try life without it. I got to a point it was stale and old.. having clarity with no substances is the best and the meaning of life will be more true for you.

I'm thinking of just putting any donations towards a more permanent streaming option, rather than literally burning someone else's money and making no point of being productive. My idea is to just stream the game on YT with music initially. It would cost me $800+ to upgrade computer to be able to stream this game, I think. If you donate a sizable amount of that you would be more of a partner not really a donator. Let me know any ideas you might have and if you want to work together.

Reasons I think this game is good for streaming:

- social/chatroom aspect, skill aspect
- small game, very good chance people haven't seen it before
- because it's so small it can be a group effort to make the game more enjoyable/fun to watch.
- interact with the person streaming
- watch ss in the background without that damned client
- when you die there's time to read the chat, interact with people
- potentially fun to watch?
- easy to watch and understand
- casual and competitive. Someone can hop on and play the game but couldn't master it easily.

Honest reasons why it might not be good:

- gameplay might not attract people? Like it might be too simple, too slow, etc.
- really not sure if it's fun to watch.
- it would cost $800 to have ME do it, but anyone could stream it basically.

I made a paypal link but I think I should have permission before posting that. So if I'm allowed I'd like to link my paypal wallet for people to donate towards me streaming/playin ss. I don't know about you but I have a vision of this game being so much more either by getting this game out there known through streaming or making SS2 and streaming that. Find a way to monetize this version of the game or easily monetize SS2 with cosmetics and loot boxes. This game is unique and I think nobody new plays it because it's such a hassle to get into the game.. a streamer could tell people how to join the game easier and better than a forum post. Steam didn't work so what is the next plan? I am willing to stream this game and help bring it to the world if you guys are able to help fund it.. and the best thing is all we'd have to do is exactly what we're doing now. I really don't see why this game, or gameplay, couldn't be WAY more popular.

You can also just mark down on a piece of paper your honest buy and sell points and it's pretty much the exact same thing, this is just a little fancier and easier to keep track of. I stopped playing after I "succeeded" in my mind. I feel like gamers have an advantage in the stock market over regular people because we've all played a game perhaps many games with huge, even international, ranking systems, we know roughly where we fall on some measure of human intelligence. Since we can divide intelligence into two camps, someone thinking ahead, and someone reacting quickly (the person with some higher combination of both qualities is more likely to win the game) you'll see that with the exclusion of teamwork/communication, psychology, and focus the skills needed to win are intelligence-based, therefore rankings rank intelligence roughly speaking. I never won a game because I pressed a button harder than the other guy, only in some more effective combination of buttons or with better reflexes. So if we believe that the stock market is just one of these intelligence games with the reflex portion removed then we can go into the game with a certain confidence. Because I've played at least one popular game where I did well enough in the worldwide leaderboards that I knew roughly where I stood in comparison to every other person who has played the game. This gives you a certain confidence that a regular person doesn't really have, because there's no leaderboard that definitively states who is the best coder, who is the best barista, who is the best welder etc. Even if I'm only 'better' than 85% of other people, I am still privy to that information and if you were the 25th best welder or even higher you'd probably have no knowledge of it. That's why I think gamers are possibly some of the best stock market dudes of the future.
