What does this mean?

first man: "Then sit to the right side of the lily, there the frog has rest, yet the cricket has anguish"

anyone have a clue what that last line means?

yes. obviously, it's an allegory and there are no real lillies, frogs or crickets. the lily represents seeing something through another persions view and perspective... like putting yourself in their shoes. and while you are on the right side of the lily (in someone else's shoes) you become the frog (the other person, looking through their eyes) and while the frog just sits there, the cricket goes through pain, grasping death. and while the frog watches the cricket become hurt, and dying. and as he sits there, doing nothing, he watches the cricket die, and yet, does not feel happy.
