When a nuclear war starts, we're ALL dead. No one seems to get the fact that America WILL NOT BE THE ONLY ONES WHIPED OUT. Those bombs are big, and we have plans to make sure if we don't live on earth, no one else will.
Anyways you can't say American's voted Bush in. If you look CLOSELY at the election results, Gore won (is that any better? maybe a little but who knows) the popular vote. But due to our incredibly archaic (seriously, pretty much everything has changed about the way we run our country EXCEPT the presidential election system, which is over 200 years old) electoral system, Bush was able to bring the election down to a supreme court popularity contest. Please.. PLEASE don't blame me and my peers (speaking of those unable to vote at the time) for a mistake that the slightly older, uninformed voters of florida made. And please don't blame us for the way a handful of supreme court justices vote.
Back to the issue at hand (Bio's original post). Going to war was an incredibly stupid thing to do. They've done so much back peddling now, switched their causes, anyone remember those horrible weapons Saddam was about to launch at the world? The terrorist link? Liberating the iraqi people, which to an extent they've done, they are definitely better off without Saddam in power. Or all that oil over there waiting to be sucked up. Seems to me like the only thing they still got a chance at getting is the oil... wait a minute I just thought of something completely original! The war was about oil!! No one's even thought of it that way before!
Sorry for the longwinded post, they can't all be 1-liners.

Dude, 87 billion dollars... if you divided that up among every legal citizen of the United States, I bet everyone would receive at least a two hundred dollar check in the mail.

Leave it to a cracker to blow up parts of the world against certain people's wishes then ask those same certain people to help rebuild what was destroyed. YOU KNOW, THERE'S SOMETHING WRONG WITH THAT.

i'm not a fan either (asctually i'm very anti-war), pretty much because i don't like people dying.

0.5 billion cars in US (1 car per 2-3 persons, including children)
1 car uses on average 8 gallons a week
Approximately 52 weeks in a year
Because of the war, you can save 30 cents per gallon
Using 5 years frame,
$ you saved = 0.5 X 8 X 52 X 0.3 X 5 = 312 billion!
This anaylsis is, of course, over simplified, it ignores some rather important facts. But you get a rough idea of the magnitude we are talking about here.
