Right now, I'm not doing much of anything, thanks to the damn provincial government.

They eliminated the 5th year of high school from the Ontario curriculum, making it 4 to match most other jurisdictions. Of course, this came into effect just as I got my degree.

What does this mean? Well, take away 20% of the high school curriculum and you'll take away nearly 20% of high school students, meaning you need almost 20 percent fewer teachers. And you don't get any lower on the seniority ladder than me. The end result? I probably won't get hired until the next semester starts in February.
