Game looks cool, can't say much for my first introduction to the people who play it.

The basic concept is not like SS. You have a commander and he tells you what to do (but you dont have to follow his orders) You start out in sector of space and are suppose to go out and find the the enemy. You get mutliple tech and new ships and you research them. To get money you need to mine certain astroids for resources. Kinda like an rpg and microsoft flight simulator in space combined.

heh, Andrew trying to get more players I see. I wouldnt really condsider this game "massive" because ever time I do play, which is rare, there are only around 40 people on. Good luck finding more players though.

Thanks all for checking it out. Dunno about Heatha's lame ass excuse. All she does is play rpg's and Animi's (boring) She is not into the whole tactical and realism adventure. Plus the 3 time's she logged on, she probably played with newbs and was bored to death.
I think i confused you guys with the commander thing. So here it is in better terms:
You have commander. He is basically in charge of how you expand in space and decide which tech options your team will be going.
You also have pilots. They go out and scout the massively large maps and find the enemy.
Your com (commander) can then send outposts refinery's and more bases further out into the huge map as you explore more and more to expand and conquer. If you end up building an op (outpost) in the same sector as your enemy then i suggest you get your ass in a bomber and move out.
Like i said these discriptions barely touch the gist of the game. You really have to play to understand.
Each game/match can take up to 4 hours if necassary. Most last about 2 hours. Quick games end in about 10 min to 30 min.
