Tolkein also did a lot of poetry about middle earth, I was checking some of it out in the library today actually (where I am right now actually) and it looks rather interesting.

I forget the main title of the one I read, but it was a History of Middle Earth, the 3rd series. It's just an epic poem, and there was a lot of mention about Balrogs, yes plural. If you like to know more about Middle Earth, but dislike poetry...this might not be for you. Either way, go to your library and look at it.

They have an 8 hour movie wich needs to be cut back to 3 hours, and they have 5 different scene's in how saruman died, so only peter jackson himself will know how saruman dies in this movie. I already saw the preview on tv and on the dvd of LOTR II

The Simalliron as dothefandango quoted and the other I think they mean is called "Unfinished tales". Which isn't really written by JRR but actually his son. The other book written of course is Probably one of the best..... The Hobbit.

BTW Unfinished Tales is a really long read.

December 17th in England, probably a few days before in the US. I know a lot of cinemas are showing the extended versions of the Fellowhip of the Ring and the Two Towers in the run-up to the release of Return of the King, should be pretty damn good.

I know what you mean about the shelob stuff ae, but i was more upset about not having the breaking of Sarumans staff and wormtongue throwing the palantir and lil Pippin gettin that motherfucker and then getting questioned by sauron... but oh well hope they have it in this next movie

Yeah I forgot to talk about that....... in the extras from the LotRII they talk about how Pippin was being chased by Sauron. instead of Frodo.......... They must explain this in the extended ver.... I hope
