One of the big issues that I feel is that people are made to belief in god and the idea that a message board or whatever the "U.S. Atheists' organization " has influences someones belief.
No. Athiests do not believe in any God, if they do but don't want organized religions, then they aren't athiests, they are agnostics. And just because you don't believe in God doesn't mean your beliefs can't be influenced by other things. Your argument makes no sense, it's too broad and wholly lacks merit. If athiests aren't allowed to have their beliefs influenced then what can they do? Nothing, because every action influences your beliefs about something or other.Mr 12 inch wonder

But ... nah, I'm 2 lazy to write an essay on why we should believe in a quote
Saying that you "don't see there were rumours about Clinton or Reagan concerning such a matter" doesn't prove anything, as each president had his own situations to deal with. There could very well have been similar conspiracy theories brought up around the Iran/Contra affair, Oliver North, Whitewater or Monica Lewinsky. Your theory holds no more merit just because you haven't heard theories about other presidents.

Rumours are usually not build on vacuum. More often they are exaggeration of facts.
I can't prove to you that the quote I have posted was the original version. But that is simply become most of the newspapers do not store articles on their online database if they are older than 5 years. And that the one I quote happened back in 1989.
Here is another aritcle that's kind of related. It is from CNN

I know you're going to say what about this organization that influences our opinions but I still hold to my statements this is not a good or bad organization in my opinion.Last edited by Cops; 10-06-2003, 04:14 PM.it makes me sick when i think of it, all my heroes could not live with it so i hope you rest in peace cause with us you never did
