Donations????

I must have missed the info that was orginally posted about donations for server costs.

I think it would be a good idea to post the specific info regarding it again. If was to make a donation I would like to know more about the specifics first.

Like why do we now need to donate $$, what changed?

Who was paying the bills before? Who is now?

Can you post how much the monly cost is?

Can you post a bill so we can see who the money is going to??

I'd love to give money to help the cause out to pay for the servers...however I want to make sure where the money is going and why I'm paying.

I don't wanna contribute to DocK's new car carpayment or someone's morgage on their brand new villa in the hills.

It would be easy to post a scanned bill so we know the amount and see the real place the money is going to...

It has always been like this, nothing has changed. There are links off the main menu and it's posted in the news every once in a while.

Dock was and still is paying what isn't donated out of his pocket, last I knew.

Can you post how much the monly cost is?
$600 - $700 range I don't remember for sure...

Every month dock gets in the server bill, somone needs to pay it..

yeah, so anyways...

you don't need to pay anything... they're simply asking for money, because PriitK (not dock>, mind you) pays for it... it costs a couple hundred a month, to my knowledge, and Priit has been paying for it, out of his own pockets, but DoCk> (or i believe so) came up with the idea that the people of TW help out PriitK who is shelling out a few hundred a month so we can all play this game for free. Yeah, the money gets sent to DoCk>, but he sends ALL the money collected to PriitK, so he has to pay less of his own money... it's just giving back to trenchwars.

and it hasn't always been like this... maybe in your time, vitron, but it's something relitivly recent - asking for money from the people to help Priit pay for the server costs. He does have alot of money from Kazaa and shizzle, but still, he doesn't HAVE to fund a free online multiplayer game, y'know? and if you're sceptical about just giving money, buy some merch or something, then you'd get something out of helping.

The server was previously hosted by a large corporation for free, as the bandwidth required to host our server is relatively small. The corporation pulled its free hosting, so prittk is now hosting with money out of his own pocket.

That's what has changed.
