Above the law...because of god?

I don't know if many of you follow the news but In some state a CHEIF JUSTICE OF LAW was removed because he didn't remove a statue of the 10 Commandments.

Seperation of Church and State.
Pretty Simple.
But this man believes that he should be put "Above the law because of my beliefs." What gives him more right to say that then a suicide bomber or a terrorist.. what are your thoughts on this topic?

I know my stance and nothing will change it.. I am just interested on what you will say.

Last night on the Daily Show with John Stewart, they played a clip showing the judge saying something like "3 times the DA and higher judges asked me to deny God, and 3 times I said no."

John: "I think they just asked you to move a statue..."

lol.....first of all i'm just going to say that i'm not a religous person. in fact i would best describe myself as either an atheist or agnostic--i still don't believe i've decided. however, i don't go around like a pretentious bastard claiming that people who are vehement about their religion are wrong or somehow less intelligent or enlightened than i am. that's just me though

This country was NOT formed on religion, Jesus H. Chrizno. So if the laws are based on the 10 commandments how come I'm not thrown in jail when I call my mom a bitch, (because I'm a badass like that), or when I say God Damnit, or when I stick it to my neighbor's wife, or when I... you get the point. And suicide bombers are as religious as anyone else. Think about how much faith you need to blow yourself up.
