Hey Paul! How's Thief II coming along?
If you were in front of me right now, I'd be making that Homer drooling sound. You know, the one where he goes "<insert food here>" and then makes that weird gluttonous noise. Not the "mmmm.. <insert food here>" thing. Yeah, Thief II rules. I'm about halfway through it. Now that finals are over I have a lot more time to sit on my fat ass and play computer games.
    'vet' is the new 'newb'.

MuslimStudio1, you should have quit typing after your first paragraph. Somehow you became so entranced in your psychoanalysis that you began talking about how a government works. Chances are you have never taken a governmental course (no, U.S. History does not count) let alone have any comprehension of political science. Sorry to rain on your parade but stupid people annoy me (not smart people).

EDIT: I added sentiment, his original opinion was valid.

I know a lot of very smart people who are quite normal socially and many who are quite cool.

And by the way, really smart people don't put up their hands all the time and answer questions in school. Those are just the losers in school. The really smart people are thinking about other things cause paying attention is for losers.

No, only fucking losers do this.

So very intelligent people tend to NOT give a damn about what other people have to say, because after all, they think they know all the points of views others might have, and on top of that, they could think from the angles of what others fail to see.

I can assure you, this does NOT assist someone to become a sociable person.

People who know how to use their intelligence would realize that it's hard to win an argument without listening to what the other person is saying. Without listening to the other person, no matter how intelligent you are, or how correct your points are, you're just going to come off as a self-important blabbermouth.

Sure, dumb people purposely annoy others too, but what separates a smart attention hoe from a stupid one is that the smart one knows that if annoy people is all that you do, eventually people would get bored by you and ignore you. So you will not get any attention at all after that.

In my experience, anyone who is constantly willing to allow themself to be the expense of every mean joke will always get lots of attention. Who doesn't want a whipping boy?

So what a smart attention hoe does is that he/she annoys people initially, then gradually brings in a sense of humour. He/she throws a few lines of really wise remarks and some sensible views in every now and then. If it is necessary, he/she shows his/her sensitive side. And when people think that him/her is a interesting person and are willing to conversate with him/her again, strikes again and punch them in the nose.

                      Repeat the process.

So, what you're saying is that smart people that can't make any friends find it easy to trick themselves into believing their own lame-ass excuses for their social incompetence, instead of facing the fact that they are too fucked up in the head for anyone to like them?

I did say 'you will be the 1st one to answer that question' but I did NOT say 'put your hand up' and answer the question in front of the class.

It is quite obviously by putting your hand up and answer a question that half a class could answer would only ruin your reputation. But there are questions that require more of intuitive intelligance, not just knowledge, and that no one else in your class knows the answer. That is the time you put your hand up and give the answer ... especially when there were already 2-3 people who attempted and failed.

I chose the example of schooling rather than anything else because education seems to me to be the best example to give. In really life, the more time you spend in a particular career path, the more skillful you are in that particular job. It got not much to do with intelligence. While as in school/college, everyone in a particular class seem to have the same amount of knowledge in that particular area. Thus, direct comparison can be made.

dude ... its 5am and I haven't gone to bed the whole night. Do i suppose to be eloquent and coherent, possibly with references and footnotes to back up everything I have said?

If you're as smart as you say you are, you should be able to form coherent points, yes. I'd make ten times more sense than you if I was tripping on mushrooms and writing an essay called "Essay On The Futility Of Time".

Yes, I start to utter dumb things when I am lacking of sleep.

But by just saying 'TelCat, you last few posts were incoherent'
does not help you to prove any thing'

Maybe you would like to point out how my last few posts were lacking of logic?
