btw does any one know where I can get a picture of the old Subspace box ie. the hard copy of it.

heh, I paid for it and still have the box and CD in my room. ummm annux posted a picture of his copy of it in the forums once. Someone eles like windreaper or pollux or someone had a picture of their room and you could see the subspace box... might be on twgallery. Retail version came out in 97 I'm pretty sure by the way.

After VIE went under, I picked up a copy of the boxed cd from a local Ames before the Ames closed. The box has a folding flap with holes showing ships from under it. The front basically promoted the game with a timeline that went something along the lines of "Meet new people" -> "Killed them" -> "Ran and hid in safe". The inside of the flap quickly explains the VIE ship settings. Inside was a CD (with cont 1.45, the files for a server, and an html-based help guide), a unoffical guide writtin by Rinsewind and iirc a sheet with the default keydefs.

Sorry, I have neither the box, the items or a scanner in my dorm.

The Enforcer, if I had to guess, I would say with SS on the brink of having a monthly charge, I would guess, SS would be dead or 3d (I mean, after how many years of development would VIE keep it the 2d we love?).

My local Futureshop (basically the Canadian Best Buy) has a copy on the shelf for $20 (Canadian). The packaging isn't in very good condition though.
